This year, I was blessed to win the Third Place in the Oils/Acrylics category of the Annual South MS Art Association Juried Art Show. The piece for which I received the ribbon is called "At Last." No, it doesn't mean "At Last, she finally won!!!" It is actually a painting of a young mother and a new baby, who have both finally fallen asleep. I believe most mothers can share the common memory of trying to lull a baby to sleep, so that she can get some much needed sleep, herself. As a mother of four (4), this painting was dear to me, and I'm glad that it placed in this year's show!
